Hi Murls,
Not many of us around here have much experience with Macs, sorry. The best I can think of is using browser-enabled forms, or simply opening in a text editor.
Let us know what you wind up doing, I'm interested!

Hey Eric,
Unfortunately InfoPath does not directly expose the control properties to any programming languages. The only way to accomplish what you are doing is to have a secondary data source with boolean fields for each of the controls that you wish to change the visibility for. Using conditional formatting that references the nodes on the 2DS ...

That's interesting - did you create this node in your schema and add a rule to it or something?
I think what you're looking for is this:
var viewName = XDocument.View.Name;
Have you downloaded the InfoPath SDK yet? A link to it can be found on the left side of this page.

When InfoPath connects to the database it generates a schema from the XML that is returned. If you have more than one row in the ReviewDetails group when you connect InfoPath to the database, it should generate a repeating group in the Datasource task pane.
I think the above will also help solve problem 2, but it is starting to sound like you ...

Hey Michael,
I have seen you posting several duplicate topics as well as intermingling topics. Please try to keep the forum organized by refraining from these activities. Below is a sample code snippet of this functionality in C#.NET:
// The following function handler is created by Microsoft Office InfoPath. Do not
// modify the type or number ...

I would have to know much more about your scenario and requirements to answer such an architectural question. Ultimately, it is up to you to determine the best means to store you data.
The benefits of using a database over SharePoint is that it is generally faster, but SharePoint has a lot of user-friendly components that make its use ...

You should be able to do this with a custom data validation rule. It will still allow them to type the characters but will show red outline and a warning message when it happens.
If you want to physically disable them from entering such characters you would need to use code in the OnBeforeChange event of the field. Check the NewValue to see if it ...

Hi Michael,
This has been discussed many times in the forum before. Please try a search in the top-right corner for a phrase like ''sum repeating table''
Good luck!

There are four basic ways to recieve data in an InfoPath form:
1. XML Document
2. Database
3. Web Service
4. SharePoint

I thinky what Kalyan is suggesting is the only way to do it in the designer. However, if you want to go about it the ''advanced'' way you could extract the form files, and then perform a Search in Files opertion using your favorite text editor. You will find the field in the XSD files, of course, but if you don't find them referenced by any XSL ...
