I did just find that as a possible workaround. What if additionally one wanted to allow writing to the form for users in a certain group after submittal, and say the person in the "submitted by" column? Would that be possible as well? Posted to General (Forum) by AlexK on 01-31-2013 Re: Make some of the form fields readonly after submit Is there a better way to do this (maybe in SharePoint) considering the case where one's form has 200+ fields? I don't want to set up conditional formatting on every single field since it would take ages. Posted to General (Forum) by AlexK on 01-31-2013 Re: SharePoint: possible to lock editing of a form after submission except 1 field? You've been a great help Ernesto. I will try these out. Best regards to you. Posted to General (Forum) by AlexK on 01-25-2013 SharePoint: possible to lock editing of a form after submission except 1 field? Here is my scenario: I have a form that is submitted to a SharePoint Form Library, but business requirements ask that after the form is submitted, it should not be able to be edited again (with possible exception of a certain admin group). I know that I could just do this in SP by setting up a group's permission to be read-only for this Form ... Posted to General (Forum) by AlexK on 01-24-2013 Fast way to add items to dropdown list? I would like to create a birth date selection input on my form, and seeing as how changing the format of the default date picker doesn't work, I am faced with workarounds like this, adding years to a dropdown. I don't really want to add 60+ year entries in the dropdown by clicking "Add..." each time, but if I have to I will. Is ... Posted to General (Forum) by AlexK on 01-18-2013 Re: Repeating Table: Force all rows to have same value for one column I followed Hilary's steps but with some slight alteration for my scenario. My field is set to lookup type and pulls data from an external list, and using the secondary XML mapping to that same field worked like a charm. Thank you!! Posted to General (Forum) by AlexK on 01-14-2013 Re: Repeating Table: Force all rows to have same value for one column I would like to do the same thing, but in my case I want the fields to lookup text from another SharePoint list. So in the field dropdown, whatever is selected once, all other repeated fields in that column take on that value. Any idea how to do this? Posted to General (Forum) by AlexK on 01-14-2013 Re: How to create an infopath form that has both repeating and non-repeating fields mapped to a field? I found the answer. You have to go to the dialog that Hilary mentioned, but also do these additional steps: 1. Under MyFields -> data fields, find the repeating section and click on it. 2. There will be a downward arrow on the right. Click on it. 3. Select "Add another list item below/above" depending on where you want the ... [quote user="Hilary Stoupa"]If you need to include a specific number of instances of a repeating group or field, you can do that - under the Data tab in the ribbon, find the Default Values and from there you can specify how many instances you want to include by default. - I'm having kind of a hard time understanding your question, so ... [quote user="Hilary Stoupa"] I think I'd use a repeating structure like you have and just have one section that only displays the first instance, with another section that displays all but the first instance. I've attached a sample - save it locally and then right click and select design so you can take a look / ...
