Can you elaborate on what was your solution with the mapping? But I cannot open/edit the completed form from the SharePoint form library. When choosing to edit the form in the browser I'm prompted to Open/Save/Save As, then get an error (see below). The ... I reattempted the install and received a different error. When InfoPath launched during the install the initial setup wizard ran, prompting for user name, initials, and update preferences. I suspected this wizard may have thrown off the installation and reattempted. ... I need to add the dollar sign, thousands separator, round the decimal to varying places, and indicate negative numbers with parentheses. Both InfoPath and SharePoint can display somewhat nice looking numbers to the user while the raw data remains behind the scenes, ... Rules are run when the form is opened to determine which view is displayed. I could go through and add the same conditions to the validation rules that I use to determine what views are displayed, but it would easier to use separate forms. Posted to General (Forum) by DC Forms on 09-12-2012 How to set fields to be required when they are displayed on one view but not required when they are not displayed/used on another view? My form has some simple business logic that determines what view is displayed to users. Depending on the business logic, and hence the view, some fields are displayed and required. I thought that the validation rules were exclusive to the view, but it appears they cross views. I am unsure, because I have seen a behavior where rules appear ... The SharePoint column will be mapped to a MS Word document content control. E.g. in InfoPath the value is ...
