Hello,
I have been using InfoPath 2003 with SharePoint 2007 for about 1.5 years now and have developed a few different forms with some custom "Jscript" within the "Microsoft Script Editor". This site has definitely helped me in more ways than one. I have a new challenge that is stumpping me at the moment. Here's what I ...

Dear Qazi,
Hope you're doing well.
Regarding the mentioned issue, I was able to create a new view but the thing is when switching to the second view the data is missing (empty text boxes) although they have the same name in both views.
Do you have any idea the cause of this problem.

Hi lp12,
An easy way to work around this would be to insert a submit button into your form template that submits to that Document Library. This will also make it easy for end users, because they don't need to think about where to save the form.
Cheers,

Hello.
First of all, this is a teriffic site. It's a tremendous resource. Secondly, I've just started getting into IP, so my skills are extremely poor. I'm not a programmer in any capacity; just trying to cobble things together.
Here's my problem, I've created the attached. The idea is that an ...

Are the work, Holiday, and Vacation fields themselves numeric, or do they have child fields that are numeric? If it's the latter, then that formula is not going to work.
I think a screenshot of your data source, indicating which fields you want to sum, would help a lot.

The rule should go in your form's Open rules (under form options for 2003 and 2007, under the Data tab for 2010). The condition for the rule should be "if the field that I'm going to put the user name in is blank" and the rule logic should do whatever needs to be done to get the user name (by IP 2007, we have the userName() ...

Hi:
You can create a field and not show it in any views at all -- in your design task pane, look for the data source task pane. Right click the group you want to add the data field to and select "Add". You can access the field's properties in the same task pane -- right click on the field and select "Properties".
Your new ...

Wonderful -- glad you got it sorted out! That whole "comment out, publish, admin approve, test" cycle is a treat, isn't it?
