Can you enter the URL you are using to create the data connection in your browser's address bar and save the returned XML and attach that to a reply? Thanks!

Can you try adding this to your URL for your owssvr.dll connection: &Query=*
So - URL looks like (with your URL info, of course):
http://server/site/_vti_bin/owssvr.dll?Cmd=Display&List={2138ba9b-cd4a-4a63-9d4a-0e0e781e3b19}&XMLDATA=TRUE&noredirect=true&Query=*

Right - execution also has a group named subpara but it has a different schema, some with AMC nodes, some with CI nodes - maybe you could name subpara something different under execution? Maybe normalize the schema a bit instead of having CI or AMC? What does your Word doc that you are basing all this on look like?

As per my email (just trying to also keep the thread up to date) - I think it is the additional mapping to the parent list for attachment files that may be creating this blank row. Try just including the attachments with the parent mapping.

Hey, Roberto - just to clarify here, the issue is that you can't create an owssvr.dll connection to your task list, right?
-
I'd guess IP devised that schema based on the way some Execution/Subpara nodes have a child AMC node and some have a child CI node?

I must have been replying to your previous question when you were posting this. Your XML file doesn't appear to be "broken" - I'm guessing the issue is with the XPath you are using to return data.
-
Ah, I think I get it now - I think you mean the nesting is going to get deeper? Right now your secondary XML is down to repeating at subunit - will be there be additional groups nested in that?

So - some users w/ Win 7 don't have the crash? I guess I'd try repairing Office first.

I'm attaching a sample form that has rules on a button demonstrating what I mean.
