Hi Bob, Welcome to the Board!
You have the information about how to add a repeating element at ''http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=303''.
This works in your case also, Only thing is getParentNode() method specified should get ''OS_Orders (Repeating)'' node and ''Field1'' can be your ''OS_Unit'' node.

You should not bind the base64 field to a textbox control, bind it to a Picture control, then the value should get saved correctly.
I am not sure but I think ''InfoPath Designer'' doesnot allow binding a base64 field to a ''TextBox'' control. I think you are missing some thing here.
Your field type should be ''base64Binary''.

Can you actually copy paste your ''XPath'' or the line of code that uses the xpath here.
I think it has something to do with the code because usually you do not get validation errors when ''XPath's'' are executed. You get errors only when the xpath is wrong or the underlying code is wrong.

Sorry for being late but I dont think we can really intercept the events of the Child form in the Master Form, after you start another form it exists on its own and cannot talk to its parent.

Yes it is possible to check whether the query is successful or not, You need to check for the number of rows that the dataconnection XML has.
For that you can use the ''count()'' method. For ex: It could be like this
''count(xdXDocument:GetDOM(''NameTable'')/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:Table)''
Where ''NameTable'' is your secondary ...

Hi Jason,
According to my guess ''thisXDocument.View.ExecuteAction(''xCollection::insert'', ''ContactDetails_1'')'' statement is not working, because in onload method ''View'' object is not created and you are trying to Insert a row with the help of ''View'' object. You can find this by taking you mouse hover the ''View'' in the above ...
