 Yeah it can be option buttons. They too do not populate either.

Ooooh, I wonder if it is because they can be blank? Can you bind option buttons to that field in your form?

 Interestingly. I just tried created a new Sharepoint column that was specified as a number. I then set the min = 0 and the max = 1 as a constraint on the column. When I made that column into a checkbox it worked just fine.The number checkbox had checked = 1 and unchecked = 0. I am wondering if the yes/no checkboxes are not populating ...

Yah, that's kind of what I was thinking was going to happen. If you have a checkbox bound to one of these fields, and also a text box (so you can see the actual value) and you preview and select the checkbox, what does the actual value show? What about when you de-select?

 I am not able to change the values it is greyed out. I wanted to change it to 1 and 0 because that is what was printing in the textbox. I am assuming it won't let me change it because it was generated from the 2nd data source.

Hey, thanks for posting what the issue was -- now others who import forms from Word will understand why they have extra rows!

I'm using 2007, but I still found it.   the 10 rows must have converted over from word.  the original form is in Word, and has 10 rows.  Now that I removed the extra defaults.  The form as 3 rows like I want it to.  Beautiful.  good to know about the filtering too. thou.

Actually, the default is usually 1. If you look in the Tools menu, under the default values (the Data tab if you are using IP 2010), then find your group, you may find that there are more instances included by default than you want.... I seem to get > and < mixed up all the time, especially when dealing with hiding controls.....

This is the main data source.  The form I'm creating just doesn't need 10 rows (which seems to be the default) to start with.  I'm not sure if its just an InfoPath thing, or something odd that is set in my system.     Rarely will a use need to more than 3 rows.  But, we need the form able to do more ...
