Hi Slovak1,
I think your best option is to use a form load rule. This rule will run every time a form is opened. You just need to apply a rule that checks if it is a new form being created, or if someone is opening a submitted form.

To clarify some detail i was getting the issue while previewing the form from design mode.
I cannot understand why this feature would be removed as it means you would have to upload the template to sharepoint every time you want to test something. Once this is done if becoames very painful to debug code and increase your debug cycle. To preview ...

Add a rule to the second dropdown that queries a data connection to get the Attendee Names based on the first two values.
If you add the SharePoint list IDs ...

If you designed your InfoPath Form Template from an XSD, the default functionality is to respect that schema and not add extraneous elements. The only way to workaround this is to manually change it by saving the template as source files and going in and modifying by hand. I'm guessing that you didn't design the form this way. ...

Hi Bob Hansen and welcome,
The only way to automatically update the form when Access changes would be to add a polling loop to the form's taskpane that checks every minute for a change and if it finds one changes the value. You can't do it if the form isn't running.
Perhaps just adding a refresh button on your form that re-queries ...
