Hi,
I am currently programmatically generating infopath forms with code-behind, and for each generated form, I need to be able to host the form template as a content type. Since I have a farm solution, I know that I would usually have to publish manually to admin-approved form template as opposed to form libraries or content types directly ...

I am very new to InfoPath and need to use information from one SQL Table to another using a one to many relationship. What I have is one table called Input (this table has the information from the database) and a second table that is blank called Adjustment (this is where I would like to have any adjustments that need to be made as well as ...

Hello
Thanks for the tips
I also develop on C# and when I select Tools-> Programming -> visual studio Tools for applications it opens the VS 2005 version
I have both VS 2005 and 2008 installed on my computer

You are correct that Rules can handle this and I have done that in some of the sections. However, this has grown enormously and now there are other sections that require this same control setup but the conditions possibilities would probably hit 1,000 or more and so this work-around I've been doing for those smaller sections is just not ...

Sorry I'm pretty new to this and I have no idea what your statement is telling me :(
So right now, I have one field that displays the Manager's name. I'm stuck trying to build the 2nd drop down to only show employees that report to the manager from the first field. Is there a type of filter that I need to build to only display ...

Hi, I program on C# that's why I use "this.MainDataSource", when you program on C# 2003 you have to use thisXDocument.DOM. I suggest you to make a condition if(thisXDocument.IsNew) to set your value, because if someone change the value, when i reoppen the form, the value will reinitialize.

What exactly is the InfoPath 2003 v 2007 issue you mention?
I see problems with folks who have both 2003 and 2007 installed on their machine, InfoPath often does't know how to open that file (or gets confused about what version to open it in) and throws an error

Still no-one there with an opinion/explanation? I tried changing the mime type to text/xml and the xml simply opens in the Internet Explorer window - the download dialog lists the type as "xml file". Using the above mime type, IE correctly identifies the file as Infopath, yet I still have the 2003 vs 2007 issue...

I imagine that rules could achieve this codelessly, but you would need a lot of rules and conditions. For example:
Rule #1
Condition: Field1 is not blank, Field2 is blank, Field3 is blank, Field4 is blank
Action: target field = Field1
Rule #2
Condition: Field1 is not blank, Field2 is not blank, Field3 is blank, Field4 is blank
Action: target ...

You will need to add ALL controls to the third view. Then hide or show them via conditional formatting, i.e. Hide if the field is blank.
Good luck!
