• Re: Create Node with multiple fields

Hi Christian, You made small mistake here, in my sample I replaced whole of ''d:tbl_attendees'' node with the new node. But you are appending the new ''d:tbl_attendees'' node to the old ''d:tbl_attendees'' node which is wrong according to the schema. In my sample we have prepared a new ''d:tbl_attendees'' node to replace the existing node. ...

  • Re: minOccurs=0 for Int type

You can edit Schema file and have a ''nillable'' attribute on it. You can also add ''xsi:nil'' attribute to a node. Here is a way how to do it, private void setNil(IXMLDOMNode oNode) //oNode is your Node for which you dont want to enter a value { IXMLDOMElement oElement = (IXMLDOMElement)oNode; if(null != ...

  • Re: query data source

''Query data source'' queries not only Database dataconnections, but also Webservice connections. So people might want to query a datasource once an action is performed For ex: when a button is clicked they might want to query a dataconnection, which gets data into a dataconnection. In your case you wanted to query a database to check whether ...

  • Re: minOccurs=0 for Int type

Hi fratellino, Welcome tot he Board! Minoccurs ''0'' does not mean that it is a compulsory field, It means that the total number of occurences of that element can be ''0'' i.e, the element can be or Cannot be there in the XML. Usually ''integer'' and ''datetime'' fields are made compulsory in the Infopath, to override this you can have ...

  • Re: Create Node with multiple fields

Hi Christian Côté, Welcome to the Board! You are almost near to getting it done, Instead of creating each node individually you can create a DOM of ''d:tbl_attendees'' and replace the original ''d:tbl_attendees'' with the new one. Here is how you do it var sXml = ''<d:tbl_attendees ...

  • Re: turning a form into read-only

Hi Assaf, Welcome to the Board! You dont need to write any code to make the form readonly. Everything can be done in Designer. The best way is to Design a seperate view called ''Readonly'' and switch to that view once your manager clicks the button. In Readonly view you will make all fields readonly, in the sense you can have all the values as ...

  • Re: Intergrate InfoPath with Advantage Database

Yes it could be done through the Custom code written on InfoPath side. Custom code will be either in .NET or JScript or VBScript. One more thing if you write custom code to get the data, you have to give full trust to your form. And most of the people donot prefer to give full trust to their infopath forms. • Re: Intergrate InfoPath with Advantage Database

Hi, Welcome to the Board! You can find some information about database connections athttp://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HP011093001033.aspx. Info at this link says that you cannot connect to databases other than SQL Server and Microsoft Access. You can always try and check it out whether it works. But you can write custom code to get ...
