You can export the form's source and manually edit the XSD. Should work. Here are guides on how to specify custom field formats in XSD using regular expressions:

I have the check box selected "form data and the form template". I still see a form that is not enabled 'in a sense'.
I am using Outlook 2007 as well.
I've gotten this to work before but now all the forms are disabled.

Hi Potemkine,
Thanks for the reply, I can't open the attachment however as I only use 2003... it says the XSN was created in version 12.00 (2007 maybe?)
Are you able to attach a 2003 version??

I did try with a new template to manage to eliminate the parts which dose not cause the problem.
it seems that the code/script that I try to add to from Visual Studio to my template cause this issue but the problem still will be there even if I remove the code from the template.
Confused!!!!!!!

If, you just want to use rules, a document library is not necessary, anyway a data connection, can't retrieve an image. you can just add your image on your form template in a section and then, add a conditionnal formatting on this section to hide or show your image.

byte[] newXmlData = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(xmlDoc.DocumentElement.OuterXml);
Use xmlDoc.InnerXml instead. That should solve the problem.
