I've never seen this before. Feel free to attach a copy of your form if you'd like me to take a look.

Is this a list form? Or a library form? If it is a list form, can you check the list settings for the column and see what the maximum # of characters is?

Depending on your environment, email might be able to be sent to the user id. But you've said you tried it. When you say "It does not work at all" what do you mean? You get an error when you try to send the email? The email fails somehow? Does it work in preview but fail in the browser? etc? :) And what happened when you tried the ...

I'd just use a default value for this to count all non-blank instances. See attached sample. Right click the link, save the file locally. Right click the saved file, select design. Preview, then fill in some data to see the count change.

I don't understand the question about "adding fields that are Name, Lookup Types" - can you provide a bit more info on that? Date diff in InfoPath is not easy (without third-party tools like qRules or FormsViewer). There are some suggestions here you might try: https://www.titanwolf.org/Network/q/9562e297-ba21-480b-847b-a512e2e77f8e/x

You'll have to use regular rules to check the values for each required field. That is - if Name is blank AND Amount is blank AND Manager is blank, tell the user they can't submit, otherwise submit. Validation rules go on fields to verify the data is valid. Hope that helps. Let me know if you need a sample and if you are using Filler or ...

Validation using patterns works. See attached - save the linked file locally, right click and select design, then preview. Your first pattern was right. Your second doesn't match your description, so I went with the description.

So - what's the data source for your dropdown? Is it hardcoded in the form? Maybe create a list of managers, and have the display be the name, and the value be the email, and promote the field to your library so you have the manager's email address?

Without the whole formula I can't see where the error is in your syntax. I'd guess that you just have something wrong in your concat statement. The syntax looks like: concat("here is some text", here is a field from the field picker, " here is some more hard-coded text", here is another form field) and so on.

I don't remember if you are using SharePoint Online or not. If you are not, look into using the user profile service to get the email. I don't understand your latest italicized entry - I mean, you can resubmit a form, you can make the "to" field dynamic in the data connection, etc. :)
