• Re: Accessing the SharePoint LOGS file from within InfoPath 2007 form

Hi Milie, I don't think the 12 folder is a good place for that if your client open your form with an InfoPath Rich client you can't have acces to this folder. I suggest you to use a share folder and write your error on a file or you can write it to a Sharepoint List using web services.

  • Re: Programmatically changing promoted field on Sharepoint

Hi Jarecki! That StackOverflow post is just silly. Some dev no doubt. You don't need code. Just turn on "property demotion" in 2007 or 2010 (when you publish your form, it's the same dialog that you use to specify field to promote to a SharePoint library). If you have 2003, you can still specify demotion manually but it's ...

  • Re: On Save Clear Field

Of course, Hilary's right. InfoPath *does* support OnSave command but doing any kind of event handling means you gotta write code. For a simple approach, consider qRules which supports OnSave without the need for code.

  • info path makes a blank record in database

I have a table that has a one to many relationship with another table. I build an infopath 2007 form based on the main table (table 1) everything works great. say for instance I put in the second table (table 2) as a subform if the user needs to use it (repeating table in infopath). I can fill out the infopath form and put many records in the ...

  • Re: Initialize task form fields with infopath form values

Hi Skilpit, Why not just assign the form to the command manager instead of creating a separate task? Your approach seems overly complex. Are you trying to support parallel workflow? It sure seems like yo uare trying to use SharePoint workflow just for the sake of using SharePoint workflow. Just do forms-based workflow with assignment - it will ...

  • Re: Using AD information to look up data from SQL

Hi Mark, Assuming you have a hardcoded SQL-database connection, you have the following options: use a Web Service to filter - Qdabra.com (sponsor of this site) provides a free trial download of DBXL which will do this write code in the form to do the query - some SQL client commands require full trust permission which may be another ...
