I'll explain what I'm trying to do. I want to create a new user form, so a manager can fill out what their new employee will need in the form of access.
Not all the managers have infopath. I want to tie the submits to a SQL 2008r2 database, but I don't know a thing about programing a web service.
Why can't it be as simple as ...

The formula needs to go into the formula editor. Next to the value box in the rule action is a button that looks like this: fx
Click that button, then paste your formula in the editor box.

Thanks for that, I didn't realise that about the error node. It's giving me this

Your XPaths are incorrect, and I'm seeing some odd characters in them. The original <> marks were to indicate place holders. concat("SetValue /xpath=dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/tns:GetFormDatasetResponse/tns:GetFormDatasetResult/ns1:dsForms/ns1:Clients[," count(preceding::ns1:Clients) + 1, "]/ns1:CustAddress1 ...

So I have the following
Action - Set a fields value
Field - Command
Value - concat("SetValue /xpath=</dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/tns:GetFormDatasetResponse/tns:GetFormDatasetResult/ns1:dsForms/ns1:Clients[," <count(preceding::ns1:Clients) + 1>, "]/CustAddress1 /value=", ...

Yes sure try to publish all infopath field on SharePoint column and after that export your library on speadsheet. It will centralized your forms information in one excel document.
I think it's the easiest way to do that.

I haven't published anything but and I was trying to find a way that I could publish the data from each form into one document, not each form into a different document.

Hi, have you publish all the field you want to display on your excel speadsheet ?
Have you try to just export your document library using Sharepoint -->Action-->Export to speadsheet ?
