Can you try replacing that expression with this one? not(xdXDocument:GetDOM("Infopath Main")/dfs:myFields/dfsdfs:dataFields/d:SharePointListItem_RW[d:Title = current()])

It is soooooooo easy to accidentally add code to a form - and if you, it disables qRules. Now you know how to fix it tho!
-
Okay - are you intentionally wishing to use both qRules and code? If so, there is a doc here that explains how to do that: http://www.infopathdev.com/files/folders/qrules/entry56111.aspx. If you do not want custom code, go to Form Options > Programming and click Remove Code. Save your form and re-inject qRules. Then give it another ...

Then I could see what the data really was, and it helped me figure out what was going wrong. I think I got so attached to my forms I didn't want to make a mess by putting stuff I didn't need on ...

Just add a field called "To" - it can be to your main data source or to a an XML secondary data source if you like. Then add rules to set that field - set up your Submit data connection to use the field for your "To" in the data connection (you can click the fx button and select the field). Hope that makes sense?
