  • Re: How Do I Open A New InfoPath Form From A URL?

Hi, You should just be able to add a hyperlink to your icon that links to your form template. Depending on the web part you have, you may or may not be allowed to add hyperlinks directly in your controls. If not, you might need SharePoint Designer. And then of course, you'd need to know the location of your HR form template. If your form is ...

  • Re: Deployment of Web services on Sharepoint 2007 of Infopath 2007 forms

We had to do this as well. As I recall, we just opened the udcx files in visual studio and did it manually. It's a pain making the transfer, but once we got the hang of it, it went quick. We actually ended up just storing all of our connection files online from there after because it was so much easier. I'll do a bit of digging and see if ...

  • Re: web services + sharepoint

If you're publishing the form to a sharepoint server that is located on a different box, you'll need to publish the connection to the sharepoint server as well. You basically create the connection file, upload it to sharepoint, then go into the infopath form and point the form to the stored connection file. I'll try to get a tutorial ...

  • Re: Publishing InfoPath 2007 templates to SharePoint 2010

Hi, There are times, for browser-enabled forms when InfoPath controls need to always send data to the server, especially when they connect to a data source and/or have code. To do this, double-click on the control (in your case, the repeating table) to show its properties, and go to the Browser forms tab then select Always. Actually, you might ...

  • Re: Hyperlink: Opens new email. xpath to grab recipient address and subject title not working

Hi, Your syntax is close! In order for your concat statement to give your desired value, you'd need to separate fields from text strings. In this case, your formula should be: concat("mailto:", my:Request/my:EMPLEmail, "?subject=", my:Request/my:form_name). Notice how mailto: and ?subject= are enclosed with quotation ...

  • Re: Need Help with QRules export to SP List

Hi, Are you using the SubmitToSharePointList qRules command? This document has detailed instructions on how to use it in a sample form, perhaps it might help. Is there a data connection on your form that connects to http://team/pathtomylist/FORMS/QdabraRules.xml? qRules doesn't need to retrieve the XML from your SharePoint site, so you might ...

  • Re: Newbie Needs Clarification of When to Use Web Services

You can use web services for many different reasons, but the most common is probably when you need to query data based on a given parameter.  Infopath has a fairly good means of sending emails as it is, especially if you get the iLoveSharepoint addon at codeplex (http://www.codeplex.ccom/) for your sharepoint server.  As a ...
