Hi, first of all, sorry for my english.
I'll try to explain better my question:
The main idea is to work with a form generated with infopath. Then, I want to extract the xsn files and modify them with notepad (modify styles, controls, etc) and finally copy the xsl, xml and xsd somewhere in sharepoint folders. After that, I want to use this ...

Hi -- I don't understand the question -- you mean you don't want to publish your templates? And you want to make changes to the source files? And the form libraries should use the source files instead of the templates? Or something else entirely?

If your combo box is populated from a secondary data source, you could get the "display" value from that, using the "value" from your combo box field as part of your XPath filter.
If your combo box is simply hardcoded, with the values in the control itself, there is no way to get those display values in code.

Well, it does seems very random, doesn't it. You weren't able to save the template at all or as source files? I'd love to look at the source files and see if we could figure out what was giving you that error.

Is there something that needs adding or changing in this code in order to access the display value?
Dim nav As XPathNavigator = MainDataSource.CreateNavigator()
Dim fieldValue As String = ...

I usually do this in the code behind the button. Here is the code I use. I hope this helps you out.
Dim Nav As XPathNavigator = Me.CreateNavigator()Dim Query As AdoQueryConnection = Me.DataConnections("Data Source Qry")
Query.Command = "SELECT Id_number FROM MedForms.dbo.tblTable WHERE Id_number = '" & ...

Hi
I use the XmlFormView control in a Sharepoint webpart to display InfoPath forms.
Having loaded an InfoPathForm to the XmlFormView control is it possible to iterate through InfoPath fields/controls programatically by their element type?
I would like to iterate through all attachment controls but without relying on the control ...

We have upgraded some users to Office 2010, but they are having trouble opening their old Infopath 2003 .xml forms in 2010.
Normally they can just double click on the .xml and it's opened in Infopath 2003. When doing the same with 2010, the following error appears:
Infopath cannot open the following file Report.xml
The form template ...

Changing "ä" doesn't help. I'm going to have to redo some work. Thank you for your help, Hilary. Is this just one of those random bugs in IP?
