Thanks. It is coming from a secondary data source (web service). But how do I refer to it in the XML for example? Interesting to see this again as I had to remind myself how I achieved this in the past just recently. As greg has posted, the only way I've also achieved this was to place a text box control at the top of the page and hide it by changing the fill & text colours to be the same as the existing content and remove any borders.

Hi,  It's pretty weird, and I've not deployed it in any other way than I've done previous forms. I ended up copying the layout over to a previously used form (instead of starting from a blank canvass) and that worked immediately on closing the form (and returning back to the sharepoint library). Hi Qwerty, thx for your reply. It worked perfectly fine. However, there is another problem. I am having list of 1000 items and each page shows 100 items. So, my drop down will take only 100 items in preview mode. I need all 1000 items in dropdown. Any adivice? Thx

Are you using 2007 or 2010?
