Hi, Is it possible to automatically add a new row to a repeating table in Infopath 2007 without using code? I want a insert a new row every time the form is opened so I can track who opens the form by autopopulating the new row with the user and date etc. Any ideas/help on this would be greatly appreciated. Well, it can be done but 2007 was SharePoint Workflow V1 and has a lot of issues. The workflow is quite limited. V2 was 2010 and things are much improved, but it's stil lan area where everyone is having issues. Personally, I'm a fan of not having more than a page on your form. Use hide-show techniques or tabs to break up your view into sections so that there's never a scrollable amount. Doesn't work in all cases obviously, but it's a good UI practice and certainly works around this issue.

Hi Casey, You definitely can do this and I've done it before. You will have to specify a double filter for the Items. Remember that you are filtering in the children, not the parent. In other words, the item dropdown should have a filter that only chooses items that match the subcategory AND category.

Don't use Submit options. Just add a random button control to your form and call this Submit. Add your actions in rules to that button. Then you can do whatever you want.
