Many thanks. I figured out how to fix the Boolean issue. I set up an extra text box to serve as the "real" field and a rule that states when the checkbox is checked, it sets the value of the "real" field to 1. I then set another rule to always hide the "real" field so the end user doesn't see it. Maybe ...

Thanks Hilary,
I will have a play around with this today as this might work for something else I am looking at.
Sadly, the tables in the variation form still requires the same existing repeating table (add in rows, and select the description from a drop down to populate code & selling price).
Not always just going to be varying the ...

Hi all,
I found a URL for this before, and now can't seem to find it. I need to open an InfoPath 2010 filler form from a promoted link in sharepoint 2013. I'm giving myself a thrashing because I either didn't save the info the first time I looked it up and found one that worked OR I did save it, ...

Hi All,
I'm sure this is a ridicuously dumb question, but I've new to InfoPath and not sure how to proceed with this one.
Essentially, I have an existing InfoPath Form Template (.xsn file) that I need to update because one of the fields needed to be changed to a different data type.
To make a long story short, I had a field under the ...

Save the attached file locally, right click the saved file and select Design. Then you can preview and check it out. I've use an XML file for data so you can see what I mean, and added some instructions about what will be different for your actual form.

I'll get a sample put together - but I don't understand this additional question at all - can you attach a screenshot or something that might help me? You can attach files under the options tab.

Hi Hilary, I hate to ask, but a dummy sample would be great if you have the time. I figured a workaround for the multi-select list and just created individual checkboxes to create the columns. Only issue is that the Boolean output is either True/False. I tried using an action rule that would set the field's value to its local-name if the field ...

Hey, Shaun! Sorry I missed your earlier posts. The default data method will work with a list. The big issue with this approach is you need to include by default enough rows in your main DS to hold all the data you might be pulling from your list. If you check out the Qdabra YouTube channel, we may have some webinars on this. ...

You can create a query connection to a SharePoint Library (a library is actually a type of list!). You will have trouble matching on just last names - but you could query for all last names, show the secondary data on the form, and have a button in each row the user could click to populate the main form - I could dummy up a sample if that would ...

Hi,
I am still trying to populate a repeating table. Just to confirm the information i am populating from is in a sharepoint list (attached), populated by a repeating table within another form (JRigPurTable onwards)
Simple way of imagining it, I am using form 1 to create a quotation and form 2 to create a variation. The variation is the ...
