(SharePoint 2010 & InfoPath 2010)
This weekend our IT department migrated/upgraded us to SharePoint 2010 from 2007. Some of my InfoPath forms had Contact Selectors that allowed me to select multiple names and promote them to a Person/Group column in my form library.
With the upgrade and the use of the new People Picker (rather than the ...

Thanks for the response Jimmy. Is qRules the only way to get around this? I'm comfortable writing c# code and have written c# code to copy a repeating table to a repeating table and that's worked on the main data source. I was assuming that the reason it wasn't writing to the secondary data source was ...

Joern,
Have you looked at your Submit Data Connection File Name field? If your file name is being taken from a field that will have many entries with the same name, Center for instance, then there will be an error unless you allow the overwrite of the file. Thanks!

The user chooses his center via a dropdown-field called 'centerchoice' that is populated by a .xml-file.
After the user made his choice, the dropdown-field ...

Ok thanks! I will look into that. Also I have a field with number of instances so that I can calculate an average. Maybe I can use the same method but use count(group) instead.

Hi all,
On my form, I have two date fields. One populates itself with today's date... the other is a date picker, to allow the user to choose a date for delivery of goods.
At the moment, I have a rule on the field which is an action. Basically if the date is greater than today() it pops up a message advising them that 'Next ...

Use a calculated value for your total that uses the xpath command "sum(group)" where group is the repeating group node in your data source corresponding to the repeating section (the one with the little blue thing on it). Note that calculated values are called expression boxes in InfoPath 2007.
