Hi ES1983 and welcome,
You can't restrict language - that would be a cool feature. Microsoft and other companies have auto-language detection algorithms built into Word and other Office products but they typically don't work well for phrases with less than 5 words. Even if you could auto-detect, it would be hard to restrict. You could ...

Hey All,
I'm new here, so if this was asked before - i'm sorry, i couldn't find it...
I have two questions:
1. I want to limit a text field so it could only get data in English, how do I do that?
2. I need to auto populate a Text field (or rich text field - it doesn't matter) to include a complete text that has lines in it ...

Thanks Patrick. I am aware of qRules but not sure if my IT department will allow me to install me it - I will look into further.
On a side note, I would like to say thanks to you guys for all the effort and support you do provide in this forum, I know that without a doubt I'd be completely lost without it and the help you guys have provided ...

Hi TaFavorite and welcome!

For more on how to create regular expressions, please Google the web. Lots of stuff out there that describe how they work. Good ...

Another reason why SharePoint IDs are not preferred is because they change when the forms migrate from one SharePoint site to another. We advocate using natural keys for ID'ing forms. For example, a date-time stamp instead of an ID. Granted, the date-time stamp is not as easy for humans to handle because it's large, but if you encode as ...

Hi GarciaJ,
Are you saying that the InfoPath Filler slows down or the Designer? If it's the filler maybe it's because of some code in your form that has a memory leak. Click on task bar and start task manager. Look at the amount of memory that InfoPath is consuming. If this is growing very large, it could be the reason. Another reason why ...

Hi Ben,
We developed qRules to handle this kind of support. Please download a free trial of that and see if you can get it working. We did this because we were spending a lot of time answering the same questions in the forum. Insert was one of those questions. You know we spend thousands of dollars a month to keep this forum going and the forum ...

Just add another field that is text and that gets set automatically when your calculated value changes. Use the xpath substring and concat functions to set the new text value to everything to the left of the decimal point followed by just two characters to the right. Drag this field to the view and make it read-only. Add conditional formatting so ...
