I have an InforPath form where there are two sections with controls in them that remain hidden to most everyone in my work environment except for a select few that need to see it. I'm using the Get Common Memberships Web Service to do this. The way it's set up is I have a field in the form called IsAdministrator. The value in this ...

I am filling a drop down list box from a secondary data connection. I want to query the data connection for the values upon the clicking of the drop down list.
I don't want to populate the list box on form load. I do not want to have to hit a button to query it.
When the user clicks on the arrow to display the values, how ...

Patrick,
this is what I ended up with.
count(preceding-sibling::my:Sheet/my:Children/my:Child_Headings/my:Child/my:fldCNumber) + 1
I still received "preceding-sibling::my:Sheet/my:Children/my:Child_Headings/my:Child/my:fldCNumber" does not point to a valid location path of a field or group
Thanx

Hi Timberhawk,
Probably your xpath is incorrect. Go to the main data source and right click on the node for the fldCNumber and choose copy xpath. Paste that into notepad and inspect it. Probably need to add a my: namespace or something. Also, you may want to look at the Count(), Position() and Current() functions in xpath. Best of luck.
