Hello James,
Were you ever able to resolve this issue with the "insert smart card"?
I am having the same problem - form set to Full trust - and haven't been able to fix.

These are all existing SQL tables that are used in a current form but where the repeating table is not within the repeating section.
IP will not even allow be to create a repeating table withing the repeating section.

This is the xsn referred to in previous post.

I have tried to start over and still get the same error message. "The form has validation errors and the submit data connection cannot execute."
I have attached a printout of my list fields and their settings. I have also attached my mapping xml. I will make a second post with my XSN.

Field[@Name = Recommendation_x0020__x0028_and_]
I dont have a way to check what that value is though, so I dont really ...

I think I get it now, you said to update FIELD where NAME = Z... trying that and seeing if I get any traction :)

I kinda get it - but the situation is a bit different. In the blog post, you explain how to update X when Y = Z.
I need to update X... where X = Z ??
If I set a rule to update @Name, where Field[@Name="Recommendation etc"] ... it seems like I'd be replacing "Recommendation..." (i.e. the SP column name) with ...
