Thank you very much. I look forward to your response.

Oh, got it - it just confused me. Makes sense. I don't see anything wrong. What I usually suspect for qRules issues in the browser but not the client are that 1) postback is not set (which you corrected) or 2) the ListCollection node in the mapping has a namespace (that is an issue that is ShP 2010 browser specific and I can see that your ...

I changed the URL to "mysite" to try to hide our real URL from the public search engines that may be scanning your site. Also, I've made a few changes to the form in general since I first attached it. I've attached a new copy. I hope that these changes have not broken the form.

What is odd to me is that the URL in the log and returned by qRules is pointed to "mysite" at all. Your form mapping and data connections are pointed to a different site all together. Or did you change the template?

When using SSL data connections, you must first configure SharePoint 2010 to trust the Root Certificate authority. In Central Admin, Security, Manage Trust, add the certificate for the root certificate authority. You will first need to export the certificate to import into SharePoint.

It is all starting to make sense now - multiple errors are so hard to troubleshoot. Particularly when everything works and hitting one buttons screws everything up without an error message.
Thanks for your help.

Yeah, I am able to browse to https://mysite/sites/hr/_vti_bin/lists.asmx and https://mysite:443/sites/hr/_vti_bin/lists.asmx
I wonder why it works in the InfoPath client but not in a browser-based form.
Thank you for your help.

Well, you see, the form schema doesn't know or care what view the user is on. It only cares about those fields which are set to not be blank.
Perhaps add a field that you can leverage for custom validation for your required fields? Or you can use the qRules ClearErrors command.....

Thanks for the additional info. In the error log I see reference to htps://mysite:443/sites/hr/_vti_bin/lists.asmx. In the error returned by qRules, we get https://mysite/sites/hr/_vti_bin/lists.asmx.
Are you able to open that URL in Internet Explorer? Can you try to see if there is a different with / without the :443 when opening the URL in IE? ...

Is it possible to do this with the qrules mapping tool?
