• Re: Disable Close Message after view switch
Hmm ok maybe i was not exact enough in my description, so sorry for that. Im talking about a webbrowser enabled form. The close button is the standard close ribbon button. Where can i find settings for that button?
You have to do this: Disable Save/Save As in the Filler tab of the Form Options ...

  • Re: Repeating table and SP2010 lists?

I don't understand this reply. The issue here is not the dropdowns. That part is supremely easy. I thought the issue was the rest of what I wrote. The whole repeating data thing is not about the dropdowns - we're talking about entering multiple languages for one person. The dropdowns do nothing except give you a ...

  • Re: Add picture into form directly from webcam

The image would first have to be saved somewhere (local HD, network drive, SharePoint), and then attached to the form using a File Attachment control. There is no integration point between InfoPath and a web cam.
I have another issue which I think may not even be possible in InfoPath but I am going to do some searching around first. I don't like asking for help without looking for it my self first. But If i can't find the solution I may be back begging for help again.
That is my exact expectation. If you do ...

  • Re: Auto Populate repeated fields from view to view...

Glad to help. I'm surprised it ever became a problem, because it just "works" if you try it. I guess you never tried it, but it's definitely super-simple. Many times, it's the very simple things that help the most once you realize what they are. By the way, when you copy/paste a control to another view, ...

  • Re: Repeating table and SP2010 lists?
warrtalon, I believe your point to note #1 is what I'm seeing. But I can't get the repeating tables to work at all. I did see the repeating sections, but that actually repeated all of the 40 or so languages at run time instead of allowing the little "add" link that the tables ...

  • Re: Auto Populate repeated fields from view to view...

You don't have to really do anything. Views don't store data - they store controls. Controls are nothing more than windows into the data, so all you have to do is create controls on the other views bound to the same fields. There is nothing to copy from view to view unless you want to start by copying your controls from ...

  • Re: Print when submitting, but not if form is not complete.

The code is on this forum and all over the Internet. I don't ever use code in my forms, but I've seen it enough times to know it works. I'm certain it works for client forms but not certain what to do for browser forms. Which type are you using: client or browser? The problem is that it requires Full Trust, ...

  • Re: Multipage Form best practices question

Same reply from MSDN: You said 5 different pages on 4 different views, but InfoPath doesn't have pages - it only has views. Please clarify. Submit = Save except that Saves make the user specify the filename, and they automatically save back to where they originated while Submits set the filename dynamically and submit to wherever the ...

  • Re: Publishing my Infopath form to a new site

Every form? That's a ton of extra overheard for you. It takes way longer to develop that way, requires farm admin access to update your template, and it causes an IISRESET every time you update the template. That's a big no-no in a live environment. I recommend only using admin-approved forms when they are ...
