I have to be honest, current() does often confuse me! Posted to General (Forum) by ben.oates on 05-08-2008 Filter issue Hi all, I have the following basic layout for my data source: myFields Hardware (repeating) HID etc. Order (repeating) HWID (repeating) etc. In my print view, I would like to show the other information held in the relevant Hardware node where the HID exists within the repeating HWID element of the current Order node. ... Posted to General (Forum) by ben.oates on 05-07-2008 Re: Data filter Thanks Clay... that's brilliant. If anyone else has this problem, the best tutorial I found is here: http://blogs.msdn.com/timpash/archive/2005/10/26/Using-Current-Function.aspx Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by ben.oates on 04-04-2008 Data filter Hi all, I'm struggling a bit with a data filter for displaying items in a drop-down list. I have a repeating field called "Hardware" as you can see in the middle of the following XPath: /my:myFields/my:Hardware/my:HType HType and HVersion are non-repeating elements in my:Hardware. I have a data connection to a ... Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by ben.oates on 04-03-2008 Re: Conditional counting I just had an idea... I don't know if it is possible but please tell me if you can see a way to make it work. The eval() function iterates through a node. I want to iterate through the Order node and count the users if there is a hardware item that matches mine (so I must also iterate through the HWID node). In my head, this would work with a ... Posted to General (Forum) by ben.oates on 11-27-2007 Re: Conditional counting Hi Clay, Fair point - I'll run that past the guys who want the form in the morning. Thanks so much for taking a look at it for me. It will be submitted to a SharePoint list and there are a few connections to pull in other bits and pieces of data from various places around our site but as they are not publicly accessible I stripped them ... Posted to General (Forum) by ben.oates on 11-26-2007 Re: Avoid saving a form in SharePoint with same name Hi Philippe, I don't know if this will help, but if you allow SharePoint to control versions of the documents on the list, all the submissions will be stored under the same file name instead of being overwritten. This should make it easier to find things and you will still be able to see a history of the document, including who ... Posted to General (Forum) by ben.oates on 11-26-2007 Re: Faxing - the holy grail. All I can find about client-side printer selection in Javascrpt is that it isn't possible. Doesn't your fax provider accept other attachment types? eFax says it accepts over 30 file formats - there may be one that accepts an MHT or some other standard infopath output. I haven't had a chance to look into it further I'm ... Posted to General (Forum) by ben.oates on 11-26-2007 Re: Conditional counting Hi Clay, The file is attached. If you could have a look at it that would be brilliant. Do you have a link to Greg's post as well please? Thanks, Ben Posted to General (Forum) by ben.oates on 11-26-2007 Re: Conditional counting Ok, I'm trying to do this in JavaScript and I'm lost from the outset! I have used JS before but never in InfoPath. I know I will be able to pick this up myself if someone can just point me in the direction of a starter guide for node navigation and element value get/set. Please help!
