• Re: Calculated Field in a Secondary Data Connection

Hi I think if I understand you correctly then yes, you can. Put a field in the repeating table linked back to your main source. Set its default value to your sum, but filter both elements by having a field for the row number of the row on the table. I hope this helps Cheers

  • Re: Select multiple values as default values for a dropdown list

Hi deep To achieve the multiple filtering you would have to concatenate the multiple selects with a OR or similar to allow for the filter. To just link the drop-down list to teh SharePoint list and filter to this one concatenated field. Not tried this myself but see if you can make it work. I hoep this helps Cheers

  • Re: Problems with repeating table validation

Hi Tom I have achieved both of these with a workaround that is not elegant but works a treat. 1) Set a field outside the repating bit that COUNT(s) the first field on the row and set it to fail is COUNT = 0 2) Set a rule on the first field in the repeating table that set another field in the repeating table to 1 if not blank. Add another ...

  • Re: How to update Default Data in Existing InfoPath Documents

Hi Thinking about this it seems that the old form is not updating itself with the changes made to template. Go into tools, form options and see if selecting "Automatically Upgrade" on the drop-down list provides you with the solution you require. cheers

  • Re: external data source - unwanted data

Hi This is because TOM is defined as a client in your datasource. You would either have to filter out TOM or modify the datasource to achieve this. Cheers Adam

  • Re: Opening Form Error

Hi I think the source of the error is that your form library defines its template as the form published to the llibrary. Each form is defined by its location unless it is fully trusted. Potentially I believe the only way around that problem would be to fully-trust the form but that presents numerous hurdles. Cheers

  • Re: Compatiblity and Programming in Infopath 2007

Hi Lets us clear up a few things first, a browser form cannot connect directly to a database, but can via a webservice, much like DBXL a program written by Qdabra, a developer free download is available here http://www.qdabra.com/proddetail.asp?prod=QDBXL1. You can define a template linked to a database but it has to be linked using ...

  • Re: Check box with Repeating Table

Hi If i understand you correctly you need to provide a list with a check box at the end of each line item which your users can select. You are then looking to only filter on those records. This can be achieved by, as is suggested above, adding a column to your data source in the repeating table for the check-box. This would satisfy ...

  • Re: Repeating table newbie question

Hi If I understand you correctly you aim use three drop-down filters to filter out unwanted criteria and return the rest in a repeating table? If that is the case and the data you need to return is in your main data source you can make the three drop-down lists bound to queryfields, and a query button that publishes all the matching criteria in ...

  • Re: Publishing Infopath Template in MOSS 2007....

Hi I have never updated a template in MOSS this way. I would advise instead going into your form library, modifying the settings and columns and then selecting edit template. Make your changes here and save back to SharePoint, that way I have never had any trouble with adding or removing published columns. This makes sure the ...
