• Re: Time - Recording Hours and Minutes & best practice

For simplicity sake, I would do as Jimmy suggest and use two fields, with the hidden calculated field. The fields themselves could be regular text or numerals, since you will have to validate them if they change anyways. EX: 2 Fields: HoursTB, MinutesTB Both are default set to 0 Both have at least this data validation: This Field ...

  • Re: A Better User Role

You can do the same thing I am doing with usernames by using emails. You would be matching the email to email instead of username to username is the only difference I see. Here is what your input would look like, from 1 to 5. Changing Username to UserEmail (from secondary data source) and currentUser to email (your hidden ...

What are your columns from your sharepoint list? You list 2 of them, is that all? Do you have username as well in the sharepoint list? Ex: Username Role Email Bob ...

It may not have been setup all the way. Any one thing off can make it fail, and it won't report why it failed. Happy to hear that you got it working with code. Thats how I use it as well, code is much easier is some aspects. Thanks for the support with my foot, its a pain to not be able to walk, but I can still work with ...

  • Re: Apend values from multiple checkboxes to email subject line?

Try this out and see if this fits part of what you are looking for. We can move forward from here. This test form uses a button group to handle the validation (Easier on the developer) which can then run a rule to setup a text box to say anything.

  • Re: Apend values from multiple checkboxes to email subject line?

Can you post the rules that you have in the checkbox? Also, are you selecting a box in column1 and in column2 and not getting the popup, or selecting mulitple boxes in column1 or column2?

  • Re: switch to edit mode on button click

Sorry, I forgot some info that needs to done with updates. In the xml that you had to create to for the Batch, add <Field Name='ID'></Field> above all the other fields. The ID is unique to each row in the SP List, in order to update the row, you will need the ID of that row, which can be gotten from the data source the same ...

  • Re: Apend values from multiple checkboxes to email subject line?

I think we may have disconnect here. The rules being setup won't go into the data validation part of the properties of the field, it will be a regular rule. The reason being is that using regular rules give you more control over certain aspects that data validation cannot. Data validation works great to make sure a field is not blank, ...

  • Re: Apend values from multiple checkboxes to email subject line?

Its ok if you can't upload, I am starting to get what you are looking for. For that, you will have to do a little more work. This is what I would do for this. Add 2 new Fields, named Column1Selected and Column2Selected (Name as you wish), set as boolean, set to false. Now for every Checkbox in Column1, add ...
