Didn't realise you could control rules on form open events so that was much appreciated. Posted to Web Services (Forum) by greenawayr on 07-07-2010 Web service generated GUID Hi, I have a GUID field (GUIDfield) on my form that, when the form is first opened, will head to the web service and generate a GUID. I have got another field on the form that has a rule set up to copy GUIDfield and holds the original GUID (GUIDcopy). When the form is saved, for example, in a Sharepoint library, and then reopened, ... I'm creating a browser enabled form and I have a collection of 3 drop down list boxes and a text box. I am trying to create rules whereby the text box displays a certain code that depends on which combination of values have been ... Posted to Controls (Forum) by greenawayr on 05-27-2010 Re: GUID's and repeating sections I have happened upon a property in the "section properties" that looks like it might help. "Do not include this section in the form by default" would presumably forget the section exists until the user does something, such as checking the relevant check box. I now see that this allows you to turn the section into an optional ... We would like all the fields to be empty (or even classed as inactive if this is possible) ... I'm also struggling setting a rule so that this GUID field is empty unless a check box is set to true to indicate that this section is "active". I think I need to set the rule on the Check Box, but I'm not quite sure how to construct this. Can you help with this please? Posted to Code (Forum) by greenawayr on 03-01-2010 GUID's and repeating sections Hi, I've created a form with a couple of repeating sections in it. I wanted to include a hidden text field that could contain a GUID generated from an SQL database that would be different for each repeating section and it's multiples. The text field connects to a data connection which contains a sql statement "select newid() as ... However, having looked further into this, it seems, by this they mean, Publishing to a Sharepoint site which may or may not be running Forms Services. So if the Sharpeoint Site doesn't have ... Posted to Browser Forms (Forum) by greenawayr on 02-18-2010 Getting our Form to the outside world Hi, I am developing a form for a company who operate outside of my own company's network and Intranet. We have a MOSS 2007 server, however this server is not visible to anyone outside of our network, and we have our own webserver that currently hosts numerous company sites. These two servers can see each other. Our webserver does not ...
