  • Re: After Info-path due-date!!!

Hi Zakaria, Thank you for posting. We have an easy path forward for you. We built an app called FormsViewer that understands InfoPath XSN format. No change to your forms needed. Just install the app and configure your lists and libraries to open using the app and you can remove your InfoPath dependency. In addition to being minimal ...

  • Re: Filtering before data reaches infopath form

:-) Can I see your form? You can attach it under the Options tab to a reply. I think you are not setting the query fields prior to running the query - you should be able to get just one row back from your list if your ID is unique.

  • Re: Filtering before data reaches infopath form

I might be getting confused, like i said on the top thread i'm very new to this! The error we get (bear in mind i didn't build this, i just got told to fix it!) "The amount of data that was returned by a data connection has exceeded the maximum limit that was configured by the server administrator. Form elements, such as drop-down ...

  • Re: Different Invoice Number for different products

I typed up steps to outline what I have been trying to explain in your sample form. I really don't know of another way to explain this - I'm sorry that I've not been clear enough for you to understand.

So, what I don't understand is why you are pulling all 5,000 users details into the form? Are you setting the staff number query field in your SharePoint List data connection prior to executing the query?

  • Re: GetProfilebyUserName appears correct in form preview but not after published

I had difficulties myself with this when I first started creating forms. Found this tutorial and it helped tremendously: https://spvee.wordpress.com/2013/04/10/auto-populate-user-information-in-infopath-with-claims-based-authentication-part-1-of-3/ I agree with what Hilary said, but also want to add is this form being filled out via ...

  • Why we have many programs to manage SP?

why SharePoint Forms should be created by Infopath and workflow and lists should be designed with SP designer? Why Microsoft plan to have separate programs to do each task !!! why not simply one program does everything: forms, lists, content type, Workflow,... etc?

  • After Info-path due-date!!!

What will happen after the date that Microsoft announce as the due date for Infopath support on SP sites? many companies did invest heavily in hundreds of forms designed by Infopath. Mine is one of them. I need to know if the due date means that SP will not accept to be linked with InfoPath any more or even the already uploaded templates ...

  • Re: Filtering before data reaches infopath form

Well there is only 1 staff number per person but we can have up to 5,000 users details. Once the staff number has been entered, it pulls first name, last name, phone number, section, line manager and address as well.
