I have an Infopath form which will be submitted to a Sharepoint library. The user can add a maximum of 5 attachments. I would like to see that everytime when a form will be submitted that there will be a new folder with the xml and the attachments.
At this moment the XML are stored in 1 folder but I would like to see that every submit generates a ...

Hmm that's a bit of a pain really.
As a workaround (although it probably should be classed as a solution given the constraints) I have set a workflow that populates a string column with the username from the person column. Using a content type means that the string column can be hidden.

I can see how the xdPreserved bit (after Googling it) would work to stop Infopath auto-undoing, but I also read xdPreserves is not suitable for use in Browser based forms and the way they are displayed. Browser forms aren't usually in my scope anyway, but if I build a little 'tweak' tool to put <THEAD> tags into the xsl files ...

You will need to either a) enter the username column into the list or b) make sure that the user is the last person to edit their Examiner Name rows (and use ModifiefBy as username comparison).

If you're using centrally managed UDCx files for your secondary data connectoins (including XML), you should be able to migrate from one site to another without as much work. But, even if you aren't it should not be hideous. You will have to fixup data connections and GUIDs but you can do that either manually by editing the XSF or using ...

Skarn, you simply rock! :)
Don't forget the xdPreserved for protecting XSLT blocks so that InfoPath Designer doesn't change them on roundtrip. Fun stuff ahead ...

Yes, there are numerous ways to filter items from a SharePoint list:
If the list is short (<500 items), just download it and use filters
If the list is large, use Owssvr.dll to filter on the server, so that downloads are fast
If you don't want to write code, consider using qRules FilterOwssvr command
Good luck!

Hi,
I have 10 columns in a particular library, and in the form[textboxes] too.
I need to find the data based upon my entries in the textboxes in the edit view of the FORM.
When I make an entry into any of the textboxes and click on a button, the results should be displayed in table.
Can this be achieved in InfoPath 2010 using rules or VSTA ...

Hi,
I am new to InfoPath 2010 and trying this functionality.
I have two multi-select list boxes and I populate the 1st multi-select list box[BOX1] with data from a list.
On selecting the items in BOX1, and click of a button - I should be able to move the selected item/s to the other multi-select list box [BOX2].
{PS : This ...

It's been asked many times how this can be accomplished. And there have been a number of clever methods attempted but I thought there *must* be a simpler way.
Well I think I have it - Infopath stores the display formatting information for each of its views in XSL files, which are packaged up in the XSN template file.
XSL files are XML ...
