Hi - I think you might want to try a concat here, since you are involving multiple data sources:
concat("CopyRichText /dsnamesrc=Receive_Forms /xpathsrc=
/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:SharePointListItem_RW/d:OPS_x0020_Highlights[../d:Report_x0020_Period = '", Report_Period , "' and ...

The issue I see in your form vs. the form I created to test is that in my test form, the data type for the Rich Text column from the secondary data source is XHTML. That is what CopyRich text is going to work with - it copies the XHTML from one node to another. In your form, the Rich Text column from your secondary data source is NOT XHTML - it is ...

What is the column setting in SharePoint? Did you try walking through the data connection to the list again to see if the data type changes to XHTML? I think it may be the data type in that secondary data source that is the root of the issue....

Can you attach your screenshot under the Options tab in a reply? I just get a little black x image. I just added a list data connection in an InfoPath form to a list that has a column that is rich text (not enhanced rich text). When I preview, my rich text from the secondary data connection displays correctly. But I do see that in my list data ...

What is this part:
translate(substring(../d:Review_x0020_Target_x0020_Date, 0, 11), "-", "") 0
Should that be = 0?

Can you attach the XSN to a reply under the options tab? I'm not sure I'll be able to figure out what's wrong, but I'd be happy to take a look. :)

So - the CC_Highlights field gets populated with another rule that sets the value to the list data - when that happens do you see HTML in the field? If you drag the Highlights field from the receive data connection onto your form, does it display correctly?

I've not seen this - I haven't worked with very many list forms tho. If you create a new list, and customize it with InfoPath, do you have the same issue re-occur? Maybe that will help narrow down whether you are having an issue w/ InfoPath or with this specific list form.

I don't understand, I'm afraid. If a field with a rule on it changes, that rule will fire. So, if your field is blank, and you set it to 1, the rule should fire, whether the field is set with a control on the form or with another rule. Does that make sense? Feel free to attach a sample form under the Options tab in a reply if ...

Oh, there is a thread on that somewhere on the forum - but I think most of us found that resizing our InfoPath window and retrying opening in design mode eventually allowed us to open. At some point, a windows update fixed this for me..... But I don't know which one & am on Windows 10. ...
