Hi Jason,
Sorry for the delay. ''Iterating over the checkboxes'' implies writing code. There may be a way to do it using an xpath, but code may actually be simpler (and easier to debug). Unfortunately, we don't have time to write code snippets for everyone these days but if you want to retain us for a small fee, let me know.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for responding on the Full Trust thread and others! Great question! Well, my guess is that this won't work because OnSaveRequest is called as a result of Save or SaveAs. Hence, calling SaveAs from OnSaveRequest would result in an infinite loop. Think Samba! :) Also, note that SaveAs is level 3 which means ''in Full Trust do we ...

Hi Dragon,
Welcome to the forum! Yes, you can build an InfoPath form that talks to the DB. When you design a form there is an option to ''New From Data Connection''. Choose this and specify your Access DB. You'll get a form that can receive and submit data from your Access MDB. Note: be careful of the datatypes. If the data connection doesn't show ...

Hi Smaur,
As long as the Access DB is in the same domain, you should be able to use some form of Windows Auth to get at it. InfoPath will popup auth dialogs for you to fill in when you access a machine outside of your domain. I'm not sure exactly how Access authenticates, though.
You can make the form full trust to access the Access DB, but ...

Good question. I'm guessing the base64 format is not supported. Can you try a link and see if that works? If not, I can follow up with my contacts at MS.

Hi Tatopitta and welcome to our forum!
This is a great question. You can send your form to extranet users in one of two ways:
1. Restricted - set Tools->Form Options->Security to restricted and use File->Send Form as Attachment. This is limited in that your form can't do much due to restricted security.
2. URN-based - you can run ...

Hi Srini and welcome to our forum,
Chapter 12 of our book also details the BizTalk scenario. GetActivityList is a BizTalk web service. Does your machine have access to the BizTalk server? Seems like a permissions issue.

Hi Jason,
Welcome to our forum! I need a little more information about your scenario. Are you trying to count the number of checkboxes checked? Do you have a field in your data source for the count? You can add an OnAfterChange event handler to the root node (parent of your checkboxes) and add logic in it to update your count. You'll probably want ...

You'll have to store that information somewhere or see if your Website has properties associated with current user. I don't think SharePoint keeps these properties for read-only locks, but you might look at RPC documentation and see if you can get some property info on the file via that protocol.
