I'm afraid that using translate() here will not only remove the part you want, but will also remove the letters from the domain name that appear anywhere else, so if you had:
DOMAIN\Dom Delouise;DOMAIN\Ned Flanders
You would wind up with
om elouise;ed Flanders
Is that not the case?

Not exactly.
There are 2 columns of checkboxes. Only 1 checkbox per column should be checked. So what I would like is when you hit the submit button, if more that 1 box per column is checked, you get a validation error that won't let you send the email until you only have 1 check per column.

I am a little confused on how you want the validation.
Are you trying to to make sure both check boxes are checked before sending the email?
Or, just want to notify the user that one of the boxes has not been checked and it can be emailed as is?

Take a look at the translate() function.
Something like this should work: translate(yourfield, "DOMAIN\", "")
Good luck.

Here's a sample form with a button that has multiple actions within one rule.
Hope this helps.

You're looking at the form's submit options, but you should look at the individual button's properties.
I'm attaching a screenshot.

Hi there,
Hope you can help me on this one:
I have a field ("strAccountIds") containing a concatenated string delimited by semicolon, e.g. DOMAIN\user1;DOMAIN\user2;DOMAIN\user3.
From this string I would like to extract this string:
user1;user2;user3
I've tried using concat and substring-after and substring-before like ...

Problem solved as described below:
Shut down computer, go home, and come back the next morning..then open your form, enter the formula
xdMath:Eval(xdMath:Eval(Person, 'concat(pc:AccountId,
";")'), "..")
and it works..! So it was the namespace thing..
