Hi again,
You can add a read-only view to your InfoPath form and add a rule on load that switches to this view if a form's field is equal to a certain value (for example, if Status = "Submitted"). You can also switch to this view before you email the form so that they don't get something in the Outlook email view. You'll ...

Hi Kully,
Easiest thing to do here is to have the user print the form as PDF using the file->export option and then attach it to an email manually.
You can automate this using a custom workflow (we have one that creates HTML), Word Automation on SharePoint server also outputs PDF, and there are third party tools like Muhimbi (which have ...

yes, you can do that with rules and xpath functions

Hi Tesoro,
It's easy. Just add formatting rules to hide your buttons when certain conditions are met based on the workflow status and current user role.
If you are using browser form (not InfoPath client) you can substitute user profile name (GetUserProfileName in SharePoint) for the user role.
If you have a workflow section with multiple ...

Hi TomRehor,
InfoPath client is for offline and you can email forms to someone, have them fill them out and send back to you and you can open the form and submit to SQL (since you're online).
InfoPath client supports export as HTML but the output is not editable in the InfoPath sense. It doesn't produce XML that will integrate back to ...

Yes, RCant's idea is good. And, there's an easy way to do this. Just create another InfoPath template for editing teams and teamleaders (repeating table with two columns, right). Then, preview this and fill it out and when you are done, do a File->Save As and save this XML as "TeamLeaders.xml". Close the preview. Go into ...

Hi Skinny,
Just use rules on the button - don't use a Submit button with Submit options.
Right click your button, choose Rules and Custom Code. Now, click on Home tab in ribbon and Manage Rules will be there on the right. Click on that and add a rule with action to submit your form. You can add another rule to close the form.
Good luck!

Hi SGSSergio and welcome!
Edit performance for the filler (desktop) is a function of the size of the view, number of window controls in it, and rules triggered when tabbing out of fields.
We have done forms with large tables (200 rows x 20 columns) and they work fine in the InfoPath client but if you add rules and have updates, performance can ...

Hi Danilao and welcome!
You need a rule that sets the area field to your secondary SharePoint list data source using the filters. In other words, if your SharePoint list has an "Area" you need to set your main data source area (the one that is the combobox) equal to the secondary Area filtered by Title and Name. Your filter is pretty ...

You'd have to create an ActiveX control to integrate with the card reader. And, InfoPath rich client (filler) would be required - couldn't do this in the browser forms.
We've created ActiveX forms before that integrated with barcode readers and industrial weight scales. If you have documentation for the common access card ...
