Hi Jo,
This is a great question and a great design pattern. We do what you are doing a lot with SharePoint forms to reduce locking contention since most people just want to add comments. We also have examples of doing this with SQL using our Database Accelerator.
Out-of-the-box, InfoPath only supports submitting to one database via it's main ...

How did you install the ActiveX control?

Yes, you should be ably to do this by setting up 2 doctypes and 2 data connectors for them. Keep in mind, though, that the Database Accelerator uses a ''fire-and-forget'' model. It roundtrips the XML forms as ''blobs'' which is great because it keeps complete XSD data type fidelity, but data shredded to the DB is just shredded. It does not ...

It's easier to do than that. I'll ask someone else to send the link.

Hi Amaciver and welcome to our board!
I'm not sure I understand the scenario. So, you opened Designer and chose new from schema and then went to Forms->Tools Options and on the Advanced tab saw that the schema was not automatically upgrade-able. Is that correct?

Hi Abhisek,
Did you correctly configure the web service to run on the ShP site? It shouldn't matter where your WS is running so long as it is in the same domain.

No idea here. Maybe that's why the poster is ''enigmae''. :)

Hi Richard,
I think this is the same as a similar problem. You need to restrict the filter to the specific row. I believe there is a post on the Microsoft blog that talks about this. It will require a tricky xpath in your filter, but it is possible. Good luck researching further.

Hi Vikram,
This has to do with where you published the form. If it's published to a website or SharePoint then it will automatically receive Domain. If it's published Locally, it's more restricted. Good luck.
