Ok Thanks Ted, But if I publish the .xsn file to a webserver that does not have Sharepoint 2007 MOSS with IPFS (InfoPath Form Services), shouldn't the .xns simply appear in a HTML "Do you wish to download popup window?"  Derek        

Hi, I am new to InfoPath. Trying to create a form. Need the form to connect both to SQL and AD. Based on the username entered, should put some info + Employee Number form SQL. After that based on the Employee Number populate rest of the fields form AD. How do I do this? Thanks,

Trying to get the current user and it's coming up as my app pool ID.  Obviously something wrong in my config but I'm not sure where to look.  Ideas?  Note, when I preview the form in Infopath Designer it shows the correct user.... me, of course.  I know this is something easy..................

Is there a way to hide individual ribbon controls with code?  I need to create forms that when loaded in IP Filler do not have most of the ribbon displayed. I would guess that I go at this through the Application object, but I haven't found a way yet.  Thanks.

I still haven't been able to work this out.  I tried putting a rule on the repeating table that if  [drop-down1 = preceding-sibling:group/field to compare] to set a checkbox, and then run my rule off of that checkbox = true.  However, I need it to reset if the drop-downs change.  Please note, the drop-downs are outside of ...

It may not have been setup all the way.  Any one thing off can make it fail, and it won't report why it failed. turned out it was form security, I didnt have it set to Full Trust, Once I set it to that it worked, and I now have inserting and updating functionality using pure code! any ideas why using the seperate xml file didnt work?  Thank you again so much for your help and patience with this, its greatly appreciated! hope you have a ...

For some reason, if I select all form data it makes me go in and click on each form, however if I only ask for certain form data it allows me to pull multiple forms at once. Problem solved.
