Hi Shyananth and welcome to our forum!
SharePoint has an implicit locking mechanism. If a user opens a form, SharePoint remembers that they have it open. If they go offline, then the lock expires in 10 minutes. Otherwise, the user has to submit the form or close it. This is a big issue with InfoPath installations on SharePoint. HEre are some best ...

Hi Reetus,
I'll ask support to reply to this today. Thanks for your patience.

Are you sure you always want to remove it? The date has this issue today with xsi:nil and it requires that you write code to add/remove it. I think it's a semantic issue and that we can't expect InfoPath to automatically remove and add the xsi:nil attribute as well as others. This is something you need to do in code.

Yes. MS said they think it looks like the WS doesn't like the schema of the XML. The signatures are using the W3C XML -DSig syntax, so maybe the WS method is expecting some different kind of XML?

Hi Niraj,
You can access the signature object from script (Jscript or VBscript) or managed code (C# or VB.NET). For the latter, you will have to install .NET Framework and reinstall InfoPath to recognize it. I have asked Agni to provide code snippets later today.
Cheers!

Hi Reetus,
This is a brief response for now as it's getting late here on the Pacific coast. It occurs to me that you are trying to implement some kind of multi-select functionality using multiple list boxes. Using your current approach, you might consider writing an OnContextChange event handler that captures the selection state of the second ...

Hi Richard,
1 - yes, just set the value of the node. You don't need code though. You can use a rule to do this or call out to xdExtension from the default value function.
2 - just a default I think. If it wasn't the first item in the list what would it be?
Have you seen our Smart Combo Box? Check it ...

To use code to control whether or not a section in your view displays or hides, you'll want to use xdExtension. Search for this in the forum or on our site. There are 3 How To articles and 3 posts on this topic. Happy reading!

Hi Niraj,
It hsould be on the install media. You can check the time stamps on the files it installs too. I have sent a feeler out to MS and will see if this is a known issue, but don't expect a reply back today. You should try with SQL 2000 and see if you get the same error.
More later,

Hi again Niraj,
No, you can just write some managed code in the form to access the OM. XPath and OM don't work together. To access the OM, you'll have to write some code, but this isn't so hard. Do you have the Visual Studio plugin? If not, see our home page. There's a link in the left pane.
