Hi Patrick,
I would love a quick demo... At this stage all I require is something that I can show / describe to my manager how the product works but, more importantly, how I will achieve this specific task using DBXL rather than getting our dot.net guys to build a web service for me. The key here is seeing exactly how to get a form to write to a ...

You will have to export your template as "source files" and manually edit hte manifest.xsf (using notepad) to change the friendly name. Make sure you don't change the ID since it uses that to ensure proper correspondence with previously submitted items. After you finis hteh edit, right click the manifest.xsf and choose design and ...

As long as the pre-defined condition data is in the secondary data source you can use the default filter button with multiple conditions to filter it and ORs. Set a condition on the table that compares the values. This is not hard but you have to have the data and you need to use current() etc. to get the value of the current row.

Hi Aaqib,
The Person Picker control is a repeating group. InfoPath cannot promote repeating items to SharePoint. You can't merge the values together either using property promotion. But, you could use a rule with an eval-eval to concatenate the DisplayNames together into a separate field and promote that.
Good luck!

Hi Gombear,
The Print method prints to a local device. It doesn't print your browser form. I suggest using a InfoPath Web part to display your form and adding another web part under it with a button that has code which prints your screen. Good luck!

Yes, you want to use SQL. Definitely. Sorry for the delay in responding and thanks for downloading DBXL trial. If you need help with your evaluation, please let us know.

Probably, the easiest fix is to just not use a multi-select box. Use a repeating table that looks like one and use eval-eval with concat to create a nice string.

Hi Chino,
If you're using the browser, you will need to either buy or create a Web Service since there's no way to do SQL submits out-of-the-box. DBXL has been around for 7 years and is used by hundreds of organizations. It's simple and gives you a one Web service for all of your forms. That means it saves you a lot of money and time ...

I wouldn't use a Multi-Select List box for this. Just use a repeating table that looks like one. You can always concatenate the results into a single string later if you want using the eval-eval technique.
