How about just using the xpath "mod" operator? Something like number(position() mod 2) will return 0 or 1 and then you can do conditional formatting on that if it's 0.

What do you mean by "PDF Reader control"? I have never heard of a PDF Reader control for InfoPath. Is this a control you are adding to your InfoPath form? If so, it must be a separate third-party ActiveX control. If so, you'll need to talk to the company that you bought the control from and get documentation.

Hi Catkins, Have you tried to right click on the button and add conditional formatting to it (I think it's under the display tab). You can add a condition here based on the other option buttons. You'll want to disable the button if the option buttons are blank or whatever.
