Thanks for your help. I was also thinking along these lines.
So I have the dropdown in the form

I also added the XML file, with a structure like this.

<month>
<index>1</index>
<name>January</name>

Hi Jeff,
Opening the form from SharePoint will place a lock on the SharePoint document. Opening from DBXL only places a lock on the DBXL copy.
IPFS: open from SharePoint
Single submit to DBXL: open from DBXL
Dual submit: open from SharePoint
Hope this helps!

Q. Why do I have to write "&&" in the "else if..." row?
A. This is the logical "AND" operator. It basically says, If x AND y AND z are not true, then run the code contained in the brackets beneath the if statement.
Q. random = ((Math.round(Math.random() * 10)) % 2) + 4: What is the % 2 doing? Why do you add ...

This involves some troubleshooting because you'll have to test the form as various users and make sure the user roles are in ...

Thank you for your quick response.
Still some questions:
Why do I have to write "&&" in the "else if..." row?
random = ((Math.round(Math.random() * 10)) % 2) + 4: What is the % 2 doing? Why do you add 2, 4, 6 and 8?
Thanks for your patience.

I have a button that adds a row to the table using the code above.
If I select a dropdown in row 3 so that it's background turns blue and then try to add another row the new row will get added after row 3, which had the ...
