I'm not aware of any way to get the XSN filename when running a form in preview mode, but you can use thisXDocument.Solution.URI to get it in published forms.
It's also possible to codelessly extract this value from the form's processing instructions, but here again, this will only work for published forms.

Thanks Patrick that worked a treat for the form I was working on.
One more little question. I have a form that contains up to 25 fields that may or may not be populated by the end user. It is a form to record changes to staff and staffs various roles. Now I don't want blank forms being submitted but when I add rules to the submit button ...

Hi.
I already found a way to get the xml filename from the InfoPath Filler. I used The _Application3, Window2 and _XDocument3 interfaces for this.
But i would also like to have the filename of the xsn file. There is a GetSolutionURI() method in the _Application3 interface that sounds like what i would need. But for getting out ...

What I was trying to do in this form is acctually create a dynamic query, rather than a static one. So the user puts in a id number in the query box, and all the data populates based on that id. So I guess what I need would be some way to make the option button refreash after each query so that the user does not need to click on ...

Your original post was very confusing, and you never responded to Hilary's request for clarification, but there is little doubt in my mind that this could have been resolved (and quite easily) without the use of managed code.
If ...

I created a form and published it on our share point site. As per my plan once the employee submit his form to SharePoint, I will then export all these forms to ...

Yesterday I asked a question about a SQL-receive repeating table in a repeating section, and I got an answer that probably would have been perfectly fine if the project spec didn't suddenly expand.
Now, I need to put a SQL-submit repeating table in a repeating section.
I created a form from a data connection, made the repeating table, ...

Yes, it's just the SubmitToSPList command that stops working. I've verified that multiple forms suffer the same problem when anonymous access is activated. Other commands, such as CopyTable, and SaveToSharePoint don't seem to be affected.

As an update; I ended up having to use managed code.
I appreciate your efforts at looking into this.

Thank you so much for your quick reply. The spec for the project changed suddenly, but I may still be able to use this. It's nice to know that the little blue circles don't instantly mean the form can't work, either - I tried just using it and it looked like it worked; the conditional formatting caused other issues but that's a ...
