• Re: Restricting the user interaction with the picture control

Certainly. You can add conditional formatting on the image control and set a condition. Username does not equal hidden field or whatever. Then have it disable the control if this is true.

  • Re: Why not a forms reader?

Hey good questions. This is a classic social issue that I won't delve into. In a paperbased world, people can use whiteout or alter forms or create copies etc. Or using other office apps you have little control of the form. With InfoPath you have the ability to add validation and limit what people can do. The template must be published ...

  • Re: Drop down list of users in company

Hi John. Our Active Directory Web Service has both the ability to identify the current user and return their information but also the ability to pass another userID and query their data. If you want to browse a list of users then you would probably need to look at a seperate list or the contact selector for 2007.

  • Re: Help Using VBScript

If you have InfoPath 2007 you can actually right click a node in your data source and select Copy Xpath to get the exact syntax but this can be tough. Check you main data source. DFS is used on database type forms where the my prefix is the default. You also can extract the source files and open the manifest in notepad to see the XML.

  • Re: Getting Prepopulated InfoPath Values into workflow

Typically you would use promoted properties to make the field values you need appear in SharePoint. These can be setup in Form Options Are you doing this? Otherwise MSDN has a developer's reference that will give you the syntax for working with the form itself in multiple languages.

  • Re: Query question

With database type forms you do not have much flexibility since the schema is automatically created. I would probably make a view in Access of the information with software and profiicancy being the key index values. Then create a seperate from based on this view and design it the way you want. So a form for entry and collection then ...

  • Re: Graph Control in InfoPath

Yah. Where is the data coming from? What is the source? There may be some other options that can connect to it as well such as Excel, which has charting.

  • Re: default values in repeating section

Welcome to the forum with your tasty walnut snacks. You probably need to research the current() function. That allows you to reference the line you are on in your table rather than all repeating items.

  • Re: Help Using VBScript

Hi Jon. In this thread i have attached a txt file with sample code. http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/5646/21172.aspx#21172 You should be able to modify it to address your fields and schema or use it as a guide.
