  • Re: Save as using data from textbox in form

Hi Phillip, I'm not exactly sure what you want here. Are you looking for a ''comment history'' for each form? If so, this is not exactly easy but it comes out-of-the-box with our DBXL product. You can download and try it for free from here: http://www.qdabra.com/products.asp?cat=11

  • Re: mail sending in vb code

Hi Leena and welcome to the forum! This has been discussed countless times on the forum so I'm sure you will be able to find a VB code snippet to do what you are asking.

  • Re: Deployment

You should ''publish'' the form to a network shared directory, and then users can have a shortcut to this XSN. Double-clicking this shortcut will open the form for fill out. It says ''Form1'' because that is the default name of the file that you save after filling out the form - much like when you open Word the name is ''Document1'', etc. ...

Sounds good to me! It does make sense to have all your data validation in one place (InfoPath). I know you will find DBXL to be of great help to your endeavor!

However, if you want to add validation via a schema you can do that with the CREATE XML SCHEMA COLLECTION statement, and then ...

  • Re: Script

Hi Phillip, If possible, it is best to have zero code in your solution. This cuts down on maintenance costs later. To do this you can move functionality to a web service tier or do it with declartive logic in the form. If you must add code to the form the best way is with Visual Studio 2005 (VS2003 will work but it doesn't have nearly as good ...

  • Re: Highlight Text Box

Did you make sure that in the ''Design'' tab the option to ''expand to fit text'' was chosen? This would cause a problem if not.

  • Re: Email body

I doubt you will be able to do this very easily. You would have to create an HTML-based e-mail body and this is something that I have never done from scratch. Once you have the power of HTML you can do basically anything, such as bold, underline, colors, images, tables, etc.

  • Re: order of operation

The actions happen sequentially, so the Submit would happen first. There is also an option to ''Stop processing rules after this one'' that you can check out.
