InfoPath's formulas are essentially XPath 1.0 with a few extra functions added, so aside from Ernesto's link, the spec should tell you most of what you need to know:

Thanks... I'll look into it and see if I can figure it out.

Yes, it should be possible. I've attached a screenshot showing the Default Values. I've set up 4 of my row, and therefore when I preview I get 4 rows automatically shown.
Good luck!

Have you seen the Microsoft online help? It's probably a good place to start since it contains some basic guidance.
Good luck!

Thanks.

Hi there,
I'm new to infopath and have run into a small problem. Can someone point me to a reference manual for the formula language in infopath? Having worked previously as a lotus notes developer I was kind of spoilt with code assistance and documentation in the notes designer.
Thank you

Hi Ernesto,
Thank you for your reply.
I have published the form to SharePoint. I then opened the form (by clicking new), I have then attached my document and tried to do the SaveToSharePoint - the save to sharepoint is done before the form is saved/submitted. I still get the same error.
I have made the form full trust and signed it ...

Sorry, my fault. I can open the form in design mode but then I do not find the 'Delete Code' button. I'm using IP2003.
Instead, I copied the default code from the script editor of a new, blank form into the script of my form. But then, I still cannot open my form to fill it out...

Are you saying it doesn't open in Design mode when you right click it and select Design?
