I tried that however, it refuses to accept the (@ID) part... yet the original code works great. Not sure how to get around that. AND huge apologies. I know these are elementary questions for all of you and I'm sure more than one are thinking, "Geesh.. go take a class or buy a book.." I will... was just hoping this was going ...

OK - sorry for the delayed response - so it's a new week and my cold/flu has started to break. Turns out the one user is running all Office 2010 app's except for Outlook which was Outlook 2007. Thank you for your help. I'm very close. I plugged in your suggestion above and when I submit the form, I now get "concat("ABC - ", max(@ID) + 1)" displayed instead of "ABC - 001." Got to be something simple I'm missing.

On the machine that doesn't work? Win XP Office 2007

Hello Pallawi,
and welcome to our forum. I guess there are ways with and witout code. With using code you can use the 'Validating'-event to report a validation error to the user if the file size exceeds a predefined limit. Please have a look at ...

Could you show us a few screenshots of your views and the conditional formatting rules? I'm having trouble grasping what you're describing. Where are you using that preceding-sibling formula?

Have you tried qRules? It can sort a repeating table with a single-line command. Sorting a list of XML nodes using JScript would probably be pretty complex.
