I don't think you can - I think the point of the "view" form is that you can only read data there, not change it.
-
You can do this in a calculated value - if the value is in the repeating table or section, you can just use a formula that is qty * price. If you use a field in the form for this, it will make it easier to create your grand total - use a sum formula. If you need a hand, attach your form under the options tab in a reply.
-
Can you attach a copy of your form under the options tab? I can give you hand. You'll need to use a preceding-sibling formula.

I can not tell you how many times this bug has bitten me. Glad that is what it was. :)
-
I see - I hadn't realized your error was when you tried to create the data connection.
-
Oh! I wonder - did you maybe copy / paste the calculated value? If you right click and select the properties, does the Text or Data Source have a value? Sometimes I copy / paste calc'd values and it somehow corrupts them, and the conditional formatting stops working....
-
Hmmm. I am not sure - is the site with the web service in your local intranet? You can access the web service in the browser on your machine.... I wonder if converting the data connection to UDCX might help?
-
You should be able to - I can't repro this. The formatting option is not greyed out on my attachment control. Can I see a copy of your form?
-
Is this a browser form or a filler form?

That's wild. Have you tried with an InfoPath 2013 template? Just wondering - I'd guess since you are Office 365, your users have access to InfoPath 2013.... I'll try to see if I can reproduce this later this week.
