My problem lies in the distribution of the forms.
Okay, so the company I work for wont fork over the cash to set up licenses for everyone to install InfoPath, so sending the forms through Outlook or storing them in a shared drive and allowing users to fill them out, will not work.
We have a SharePoint site, however this is the 'MOSS 2007 ...

One way to change a value in every row of a repeating group is to identify some field that you're not going to use, and after you query the data source, have a rule that sets that field to some improbable value, like 9898989898989. Then put any rules you want on that field to change the values of other fields in that repeating ...

Hi - I replied to your other post with a sample on using a rule to get this information - there is no reason you should have to use code for it: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/20624/71436.aspx#71436
I'm not sure why your code is failing in the browser - any errors? You may want to add a try catch and populate another field with any error ...

12;#hstoupa

substring("1", 1, (Field1 = 1) and (Field2 = 2))
I assume you want the result to be blank when it doesn't pass those conditions? If you want Field3 to be 1 when the condition is true and 0 when it's false, this should work as the formula:
number((Field1 = 1) and (Field2 = 2))

I have 3 felds. Field1 and Field2 contain numbers. Field3 is the result where the formula needs to be placed. When Field1 = 1 AND when Field2 = 2 I want to display a value of 1 in Field3 (or a value of true as example) The formula i tried to come up with is:
substring("1", 1, ...

You should be able to do this with a count formula and a filter. I'm attaching a simple sample - save the file from the link, then right click and select design to open in design mode - from there you can preview.

I have an infopath form for tracking action items. The user can assign the action item by selecting a person from a infopath drop-down list (action_POC text field). I want the action_POC field to map to a SharePoint column created using the Person or Group type. When I try to accomplish this while defining the properpty promotion ...
