I have spent some time trying to get the 'rules" based approach to accomplish what we just did in code..because it seems like it would be faster to implement..but I can't get it to work. I tried editing the xpath in the rule ..but that did not work.
So what I want to accomplish is ;
ComboBox1 : strIProcCode>>use ...

The extra space seems strange. What's the formula being used? Is it concat? Share your rule and I'll try to reproduce the issue (also, is it 2007 or 2010?)

Any chance you could attach the form? I imagine that the rules have an error in them, but it's hard to pinpoint at this stage.
Since you are within a repeating table, perhaps the current() function will be of some use. Not sure though.
If you can attach the form, do so via the Options tab when replying.

Hi,
I concatenated 2 columns in a SharePoint 2007 list ([Name] " -" [Zone]) and when the field is being referenced in InfoPath 2007 as a secondary data connection, it displays as "string;#Name - Zone" in a drop down list. Any help on this problem would be much appreciated.
Thanks

This fixed it...now it works. I had to use the "../"ICDMcode.SelectSingleNode("../my:fldICDM_Text", Me.NamespaceManager).SetValue(ICDMdescr)
I am still going to try to figure how to do the non-programmatic method since its a heck of a lot easier.
Regards,
Adam
